When you think Bordeaux, do you think Blaye?
You have heard of Mouton, have you heard of Moulis?
We adore Merlot, but where is ‘the Cotes de Bordeaux’?
Sauvignon Blanc from ‘Entre-Deux-Mers’ – where?
There is more to Bordeaux than expensive, special occasion bottles that have to wait a decade to be approachable. Just beyond the prestigious vineyards of the Left and Right Banks are numerous wineries producing quality wines at reasonable prices. Join us for an evening of wine beyond the familiar chateaus and ‘growth’ areas as we taste wines sourced from all over Bordeaux.
It was fun scouring the PLCB shelves for these finds. Planned whites for the evening include both dry and sweet. The white wines feature both the Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc grape. Planned reds for the evening are sourced from the not-so-familiar regions of Bordeaux but still taste oh so Bordeaux!
