On Friday evening, April 24 at 7:00 pm at the Hilton Harrisburg, we will be experiencing a special event featuring nine carefully selected wines from the Winebow LLS Italian portfolio. We are honored to have as our guest speaker, Massimo Squitieri, the Pennsylvania Manager of Winebow.
LLS is named for Leonardo Locasio Selections. Leonardo Locasio was one of the greatest purveyors of Italian fine wines for decades. He earned the respect of Italian fine wine consumers with his acquired knowledge gained over decades of work with some of the best producers in Italy.
We are pleased to put his knowledge and relationships to work for the PWS members and guests in this upcoming tasting. Represented at the tasting will be renowned producer Zenato from Veneto in northeastern Italy with their Lugana Riserva from Lake Garda for our white wine fans. Also, we’re having Zenato’s Amarone style Ripassa. For those of you who will gladly break the piggybank for an E3 (exceptional, elegant and expensive!) red, we will have their single varietal Corvina.
Tuscany will be well represented with a beautiful wine from Cortona (“Under the Tuscan Sun”) and a Chianti Classico from an artisan producer. Southern Italy will be featured with wine from their premier grape, Aglianico, often called “the Barolo of the south.” Sardinia produces excellent wine and we will be pouring a tantalizing white and red from the island. There will be other wines as well.
In all, we will be serving three whites and six reds. You will not want to miss this exceptional tasting. Join us for an evening enjoying some of the finest wines Italy has to offer.
